I’m Jon Roberts, founder of StormOps™ and owner of Husky Tree Services. I started with stump grinding in 2022. Three years ago, we moved into tree work, and for the last two years, emergency storm work has become a huge part of our business.
Today, we do over $1 million a year in storm work alone.
One of the biggest things I’ve learned is that when a storm hits, speed matters. When someone has a tree through their house, they aren’t waiting around. We built our business around being one of the first companies on site when people need us most.
But getting there fast is only half of it. We still needed a way to price the job correctly, protect our company, clearly show the customer what they were agreeing to, get a signed contract, and get the crew moving—without wasting time building paperwork in the middle of a storm.
So we built it ourselves.
