This policy explains what information StormOps™ collects, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
StormOps™ (“StormOps™,” “we,” “us”) provides emergency tree service software at stormops.io. StormOps™ is operated by StormOps™ LLC. You can reach us at hello@stormops.io. StormOps™ is a business service intended for use by tree service companies, not consumers.
2. Information we collect
From website visitors. When you contact us, use our chat, or request information, we collect what you provide, such as your name, company, email, phone number, and message. We also collect basic technical information such as browser type, device, pages visited, and IP address.
From customers. When your company subscribes, we collect account information (names, emails, phone numbers, company details) and billing information. Card and bank details are collected and processed by our payment processor, Stripe; we do not store full card or bank account numbers.
Information you enter about your customers. To create estimates and contracts, you enter information about your own customers, such as names, phone numbers, email addresses, property addresses, job details, pricing, and signatures (“Customer Data”).
3. Our role with your customers’ information
For Customer Data, your company decides what information to collect and how to use it, and we process it on your behalf to provide the Service. Your company is responsible for having the right to collect that information and for responding to your customers’ questions about it. If you are a customer of a company that uses StormOps™, please contact that company directly.
4. How we use information
- To provide, operate, maintain, and secure StormOps™
- To create, send, and store estimates, contracts, and electronic signatures
- To create jobs in connected tools such as Jobber when you turn that on
- To process payments, manage subscriptions, and prevent fraud
- To respond to questions and send service, billing, and security messages
- To understand how the Service is used, in de-identified and aggregated form, so we can improve it
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
5. We do not sell your data
We do not sell personal information or Customer Data, and we do not use your pricing or your customers’ information for any purpose other than providing and supporting the Service.
6. How information is shared
We share information only as needed to run StormOps™: with service providers that host our systems, process payments (Stripe), deliver email, or provide chat and analytics; with tools you choose to connect, such as Jobber; with professional advisors such as lawyers and accountants; if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
7. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar tools to keep the site working, remember preferences, and understand how visitors use it. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. No system is completely secure, and you are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe. If we learn of a security incident affecting your information, we will notify you as required by law.
9. Data retention
We keep information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, meet legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. After cancellation, you may request an export of your Customer Data within 30 days, after which we may delete it, except where we must keep it by law. Backups may take additional time to clear.
10. Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing hello@stormops.io. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link. We will still send service and billing messages while you have an account.
11. Where information is stored
StormOps™ is operated in the United States, and information is stored and processed in the United States.
12. Children
StormOps™ is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
13. Links to other sites
Our website and Service may link to other websites and services, such as Jobber. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the updated version here and change the effective date, and for material changes we will notify customers by email or in the Service.
